Mark H. Diffenderfer

Vice-President, Broker

Certified General Appraiser(Auctioneer)

Mark provides 25+ years of real estate experience for his clients. Having grown up in a family where buying, investing and managing real estate were the norm, Mark had an ongoing desire to learn more. In the early 1990’s Mark got his Real Estate license under Bill Hess and later became an appraisal assistant for Bill and worked towards and achieved his General Appraisal Certification in 1997. He focused on appraising commercial properties during that time. Mark also had become a licensed auctioneer in Pennsylvania and has since sold hundreds of properties at auction using a unique method that really motivates buyers. Wanting more comprehensive real estate knowledge, Mark got his Real Estate Broker’s license in 2002. In 2006 Mark accepted a position at Susquehanna Bank as their first Certified General Appraiser. Setting up an appraisal review department and ensuring compliance to Federal Banking regulations as well as ordering and reviewing the bank’s commercial appraisals were some of Mark’s responsibilities at Susquehanna Bank. An acquisition and then bank-wide layoff in 2008 brought about another change with Mark leaving the bank and focusing back on real estate auctions. During this time Mark also was working with Bill in buying, fixing up and reselling single family homes as the real estate market had been undergoing significant challenges due to the economic downturn.

In more recent years Mark has been working in real estate brokerage and real estate auctions. Mark lives near Manheim and has 4 children (3 married) and 5 grandchildren. He has been involved at Lancaster Grace Church where he has served as elder, worship leader and assistant financial secretary. Mark enjoys reading and hiking.
